Sae
Taw Win II is an offspring of classic Theravada Buddhism. Essentially,
it is a way to perceive, understand and engage with life in a
realistic, humane way. It is a gentle, loving philosophy
that is shared by a diverse community of
people from around the world. This unique perspective celebrates the
principles of:
......dana
~ generosity
......metta ~
non-violence
......sila
~ keeping the precepts
......bhavana
~ meditation
......panna
~ wisdom
......Sae
Taw Win II was founded in 1997 by Dr. Thynn Thynn, a Burmese-born,
retired physician.
.......Dr.
Thynn is the resident teacher and yogi at the Sae Taw Win II Dhamma Center in
Northern California.
The Center is an extension of the original Sae Taw
Win Monastery in central Burma.
